In with the new!

We have a few new items we want to share this morning! 

Fifi Laughlin brought in this exquisite opaque white vase with caning - how gorgeous would this look in an entryway? Or as a centerpiece? Or really anywhere?!

Kathy Slater has gorgeous new pillows in the shop - the combination of the color and the quadrille fabric is incredibly luxe and chic. 

Wouldn't these two look pretty in a room together? 

Finishing Touches

Today we want to talk about Kathy's custom tables - the gorgeous materials, the elegant style, and of course, the luscious finishes!

In particular, we can't stop staring at the aged black finish on this wooden St. Charles table...

The overall effect is so elegant. 

The gold stencil on top adds texture and style

Shows!

We're excited to share some news for two of our artists today - Julie Silvers and George Marks both have lovely shows coming up far far away from our dear New Orleans! So proud that the wide world recognizes their talent and wants to show it off!

Julie is traveling to NYC - her show at the Ezair Gallery opens on May 1st, and runs for the entire month! 

Consider yourself invited!

George is traveling to Michigan (with one of our favorite artists, Lisa DiStefano, who may remember from Art in Bloom). Their joint show at Ferrara Blue Gallery opens this Saturday! 

So, if you're in NYC or  southern Michigan - go check out these fabulous artists!

Chandelier-ious!

Today we're focusing on the lighting here at Gallery 3954. After all, we are a collection of Fine Art, Lighting, and Design - though some would argue that these chandeliers are all three! 

Firstly, we are ecstatic to announce that our much anticipated Niermann Weeks chandelier is in! (If you "like" us on facebook, you already know!) 

Isn't it a fabulous piece? We can't get over how lovely the crystals are - and how neat the reflections can be! So chic! 

Secondly, we are delighted to have several antique chandeliers hanging from our ceilings. Take a look at these  - the iron work is amazing. 

And lastly, (but certainly not least!), we're featuring Fifi Laughlin's handblown glass Petite Chandelier in the window!

Petites

Walking into the gallery this morning, I was hit by a wave of delectable sweet olive. I love the smell, and the delightful weather that always seems to follow - and the sweet, delicate flowers. 

The image stuck with me as I came into the gallery, and I couldn't help but look anew at a few items. Gallery 3954 is not only a mix of art+design  - we are also a mix of LARGE and petite! Inspired by the small blooms, here are a few of the petite items in our gallery - Fifi's vases, her Trudy lamps, and Julie's small boards.  

With the tallest vase at only 7 inches tall, these could nicely hold a sweet olive spray!

Sweet, small lamps - easily nestled into a shelf, on a mantle, in a dressing room - endless opportunities for small items!

Julie's board paintings measure 12 by 12 inches - perfect for a pair above a mantel or dresser. With the bright colors, and dynamic patterns, they add all the freshness of a bouquet of flowers - only permanent!
